Competition Timetable

Cornbury House Horse Trials hosts the full roster of international and British Eventing classes as well as the Howden Way Youth Championships at CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S levels across the five days.

For the first time in 2023 we hosted the British Eventing Young Horse Championships for five-, six- and seven-year-old horses – the best of the UK’s future equine stars.

Hospitality - The Endless Lunch at Cornbury by Mirabeau

Cornbury House Horse Trials is delighted to announce that it will be staging an unforgettable Endless Lunch by Mirabeau at this year’s event which will be available across Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024.

The Endless Lunch showcases one of the most vibrant French rosé brands, Mirabeau, which works perfectly alongside the relaxed feasting style experience on offer at Cornbury House Horse Trials, with the food cooked on open fires by chefs from the highly acclaimed The Bull in neighbouring Charlbury.

Re-defining traditional hospitality, guests can enjoy an informal dining experience while watching the live action from the marquee which overlooks the main showjumping arena. Locally sourced and seasonal menus will be on offer throughout the afternoon, and all accompanied by Mirabeau rosé.

'From the Farm' - Food & Drink

Experience our newly created ‘From the Farm’ offering with a tasty selection of locally sourced and sustainable food and drink offerings. From farm-fresh produce to locally produced beverages, indulge in guilt-free dining and drinking while supporting local businesses.

Located adjacent to the main show-jumping arena, our own Cornbury Farm raised meat will be cooked on an open asado by Norton Hook Butchers. Love pasta? We are delighted that the inspiring Nonna Tonda is returning this year with dishes cooked to order and using our own beef ragu as one of the dishes. Clarence Court eggs will be joining us for the first time with their delightful offerings with all the condiments provided by our friends at Diddly Squat Farm shop.

Finally, it wouldn’t be complete without home churned ice-cream from the cows down the road, provided by The Dairyy at Honeydale Farm.

The Wychwood Inn - Entertainment

Our public bar the Wychwood Inn is back again and positioned in the heart of the action, so that you can sit back and relax while enjoying; lager and cider from the popular Hawkstone, local ales from Chadlington Brewery, delicious cocktails from British Polo Gin and, for any non-drinkers, we’ve got you covered with delicious Benson’s Juices. 

We will also be hosting post-competition entertainment from here including:

The Wychwood Inn Quiz (Friday 13): Taking place after the competition is finished for the day in our public bar, The Wychwood Inn, get ready to test your general knowledge and some specialty rounds including a history of Cornbury. The quiz will start at approx 7.15pm and will be over by 8.30pm. All welcome.

Wychwood Inn after-party (Saturday 14): After the competition is over, our own resident DJ, Will Kayall will take over the reins in the Wychwood Inn for those wanting to keep the party going with music starting from approx 6.30pm until 9pm.

The Cornbury Village - Shopping

New for 2024, we are delighted to introduce the Cornbury Village here at Cornbury House Horse Trials operating from Thursday 12 September – Sunday 15 September, offering a curated selection of bespoke, independent brands which have been hand-picked to join us at Cornbury.

The Village will be welcoming back a few of our favourite brands from previous events, as well as an array of new and must see names. Whether you are looking for luxury clothing, interiors, jewellery or local artisan produce, there is plenty of choice for everyone!
